Benefits of becoming a member
















 




Fellow
Active members of the Association who have contributed significantly to the furtherance of the aims of the association may be proposed by a minimum of six others members of the Association for election as Fellows. Such proposals will be subject to the endorsement of the Executive Committee and subsequent election by the membership. Fellows will not normally constitute more than 10% of the membership.

Full Member
Practitioners or teachers of McTimoney Chiropractic holding a qualification approved by the Association issued by a training establishment approved by the Association and having completed the required programme of supervised practice and additional studies.

Provisional Member
Practitioners of McTimoney Chiropractic for humans or animals holding a qualification approved by the Association, issued by a training establishment approved by the Association and are following the required programme of supervised practice and additional studies for newly qualified practitioners.

Student
Any person shall be eligible to become a student member who attends a Chiropractic course approved by the Association.

Retired
Practitioners of McTimoney Chiropractic for humans or animals who have permanently retired from practice. Such members shall be entitled to use the initials of their last practising grade of membership followed by Rtd.

Honorary
Suitable persons may be invited to be Honorary members of the Association at the discretion of the Executive Committee.

Animal Member
Practitioners of chiropractic for animals holding a qualification approved by the Association and having completed the required programme of supervised practice and additional studies and who also hold a qualification in Human Chiropractic approved by the Association.

Associate Members
Any person who espouses the philosophy of McTimoney Chiropractic and has followed a course approved by the Association and wishes to join the Association shall be regarded as an Associate member. Associate members will not be permitted to use any post nominal letters indicating this level of membership of the Association. Associate members will not be included in the directory of practitioners (unless they hold a qualification approved by the Association, in which case, they will be included in the relevant directory). Associate members will receive all relevant mailings from the Association if they so choose.

Non-practising members
Members who inform the Association of their intention to withdraw from practise for a period of one Association year or more, and intend to return to practice at some future time, shall be regarded as non-practising members. (If a practitioner withdraws from practice for a period of more than one year they may be required to satisfy the Association as to their competence to return to practice.) Non-practising members will not be included in the directory of practitioners but will receive all relevant mailings from the Association if they so choose.

Overseas members
Members residing outside the jurisdiction of the laws of the United Kingdom and not practising in the United Kingdom shall be regarded as Overseas Members subject to having membership of the appropriate National Chiropractic or Animal Association (where such association exists).
